Some things I’ve been doing recently…
- Another linocut print.
I decided to start a little series (that I’ll work on slowly when I feel like it) making a print related to ever job I’ve ever had. The first one is my first ever job, working at a golf club (which I already made a little mini comic about, get over this job amiright).

2. Oil painting.
I used to do oil painting as a teenager and painted ‘realistic’ style and would take weeks to do them, building up layers and all that stuff. I’m not interested in that at all anymore, but also haven’t used oil paints in 14 years so don’t really know what I’m doing at all. I tried to just have some fun with colours painting this portrait of Matheus and doing it quickly in a few hours.

3. Game artwork
I’ve been working on a game with Matheus slowly for a little while. It’s a detective game and we’re basically just doing it for fun.
The artwork has been looking quite shit (stick man type stuff) so I started to replace some of our scenes with new artwork. Here is the first one below. I can’t upload videos here cause I don’t have the best wordpress plan, so here’s just a picture of the new scene I drew today.

4. Reading some good books

5. Bought an original Japanese woodblock print!
This weekend me and Matheus went to a village where they have loads of antiques shops. In one of the shops there were two original woodblock prints by Japanese artist Tsukioka Yoshitoshi. We really loved this one so bought our first ever piece o art. The lady told us it’s a print from the second run from woodblock. It’s from a series called ‘100 Warriors’ that the artist made, and in English this one is called ‘Sakuma Daigaku drinking blood from a severed head’.

5. Started my first woodblock
Feeling inspired by all my books and the cool print, I started my first ever woodblock print. It’s so much harder than lino!!! My hand is already aching and this is all I’ve done…
